Position: Controller/Assistant Controller

Location: Walnut Creek, CA (Hybrid Schedule – 2 Days in Office)


What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance
  • At least 3 years of accounting or controllership experience
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables)
  • Experience with QuickBooks and general accounting principles
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues, vendors, and business partners


Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement, maintain, and monitor internal controls
  • Oversee payroll processing, compliance, and reporting
  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting
  • Prepare and monitor budgets, cash flow, and profitability analyses
  • Assist with financial reporting, tax compliance, employee benefits, and retirement plans
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial goals align with firm objectives


Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary: $90,000 - $140,000 (commensurate with experience)
  • Hybrid work schedule: 2 days in-office weekly / rarely, 3 days max, not often.
